First of all, make yourself presentable.
Looks are definitely important for guys initially, especially at your age.
Watch your diet/work out if you're not fit. Wear nice clothes, make up, hair etc. Not only does this make you physically more attractive, it also shows that you take care of yourself. I'm not saying you have to spend like 2 hours every day getting ready (even though a lot of girls do), but don't go to class looking like you just woke up.
Become more friendly, kinder, more fun, and a better person.
Now it will not only be much easier for you to meet guys, it will make YOU feel good.
Good places to meet guys: join sports teams with both girls and guys, join clubs you're interested in, get involved with extra-curricular activities if you go to school, try internet dating, MAKE FRIENDS with guys, so they can introduce you to their friends.

In Melbourne? Heck walk down the street in a thong and a sailor hat. That should work.
Okay if you aren't up for that - do things you like - except go out drinking pints all weekend - and then guys you meet will already like something you like. Opera - ballet - movies - sporting events - dog shows - wine tastings - smooth jazz concerts - scuba lessons - like that.
When you see a guy you might be interested in - catch his eye and *smile* - he'll do the rest if he's got even half a brain.

Do what you like to do, but more often, at different times, or at a different spot. Example: if you run every day, go in the evening instead of morning or drive to the park that's further away. This puts you in a different crowd and you might be able to catch the glances of some new guys.

That depends...what do you like to do? Do what you like and when you find them then at least you have one thing in common. Another thing...Smile! ...people like to be around happy people. Don't ***** and pout. If you take your mind off of finding Mr. Right...you'll find Mr. Right. Be determined to live life to the fullest and not worry about guys...and that is when you will have to beat them off with a stick.

Well I like a woman that can introduce herself and spark up a conversation. Guys like women that can stand on their own and say whats on their mind. Just like women like men who can be themselves and talk as normal folk with out a lot of BS.

Go to places where guys hang out. If you're interested in a certain guy try to find out what his interests are and strike up a conversation.
