What makes him physically (like other than your thoughts and beliefs) purposeful? And if we don't really need him why must he still be so important to you and/or others?

His purpose is felt in the acts of the millions of believers he has around the world. Would you remove Christianity from the world if you could? Just their belief in God results in a great amount of charity and kindness on this planet. You don't have to see something to feel it's effects.

The One True God gives to each man a greater world (his soul) for him to develop and receive the fruit of divine bliss, but he ignores that great bounty, and occupies himself with useless things such as money, power, fame...then finally cries bitterly for regrets.
And still God loves us so much that He successively sends Buddha, Christ, Muahammad...and many other Messengers here to bear all sorts of sufferings for souding again and again His warning. If this divine love fails, what else can we do for him!

we really do need him. man was once like him and can still be through jesus christ. he has a soul, spirit and spirit flesh according to psalms. he holds everything together with special providence over life and death on this earth, as well as many things like the boundary of water and land. he is ultimatelty peace, prosperity and eternal life. without him there is corruption evil and sin. those who are seperated from him sin.

Well, if you believe in God, than you believe that He runs the world, and that He is necessary for all things physical as well as spirtual to exist and to run.

We always need him. He is everywhere, even, or especially in the lowest places, or when you think he has deserted you, You will see his hand guiding you. Its not rocket science, you just have to have faith.
