I was debating with a friend on whats an appropiate amount of time to wait before having sex with someone you're dating. She said six months, but I think thats way too long. i know it depends on the people, but i just wanna get some opinions..

As you said it really depends on the two partners. Soem of them make the right decision and also use protection and others also make that decision but do not use protection and then end up with a baby. It is really your chooise.

6 months is too long. 3-4 dates and no longer than 6-8 weeks.
If she's really into you, then it shouldn't be an issue. Just make sure you feel the same way about her. Us guys don't need to continue this myth about how we're all players.

The rules of threes my friend:
3rd base after 3 dates/weeks(which ever comes first), sex after getting to 3rd base 3 times.

However long you and your partner need to feel ready. It is a mutual thing. Every situation is different, a one night stand only needs an hour to get undressed, but a long term commitment needs a few dates to get those pants off. As long as nobody feels rushed, that's all that matters.

6 months is the typical -especially for good girls...EASY girls give it to you right away but then you wouldn't really give a ---- about them later one anyways....6 months isn't bad...if you really love her, wait for however long she wants to wait

well wait until you love the person and you know they are the one. or you can be weird and wait until marrage. but it seems like no one is doing that nowadays.

i think just until you knwo you really love each other and make sure your not gonna have sex with teh girl then dump her soon after that can really hurt
