The Holy Spirit is God's active force and a gift from God if you want to receive it. It helps you to understand God's word.

As for the “Holy Spirit,” the so-called third Person of the Trinity, this is not a person but God’s active force. John the Baptizer said that Jesus would baptize with holy spirit, even as John had been baptizing with water. Hence, in the same way that water is not a person, holy spirit is not a person. (Matthew 3:11) What John foretold was fulfilled when, following the death and resurrection of Jesus, holy spirit was poured out on his followers gathered in Jerusalem. The Bible says: “They all became filled with holy spirit.” (Acts 2:4) Were they “filled” with a person? No, but they were filled with God’s active force. Thus the facts make clear that the Trinity is not a Bible teaching. Actually, long before Jesus walked the earth gods were worshiped in groups of three, or trinities, in places such as ancient Egypt and Babylon.

‘But isn’t Jesus called a god in the Bible?’ someone may ask. This is true. Yet Satan is also called a god. (2 Corinthians 4:4) At John 1:1, which refers to Jesus as “the Word,” some Bible translations say: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” But notice, verse 2 says that the Word was “in the beginning with God.” And while men have seen Jesus, verse 18 says that “no man hath seen God at any time.” (Authorized or King James Version) So we find that some translations of verse 1 give the correct idea of the original language when they read: “The Word was with God, and the Word was divine,” or was “a god,” that is, the Word was a powerful godlike one. (An American Translation) Clearly, Jesus is not Almighty God. In fact, Jesus spoke of his Father as “my God” and as “the only true God.”

Did Jesus ever say that he was God? No, he never did. Rather, in the Bible he is called “God’s Son.” And he said: “The Father is greater than I am.” Also, Jesus explained that there were some things that neither he nor the angels knew but that only God knew. (Mark 13:32) Further, on one occasion Jesus prayed to God, saying: “Let, not my will, but yours take place.” (Luke 22:42) If Jesus were the Almighty God, he would not have prayed to himself, would he? In fact, following Jesus’ death, the Scripture says: “This Jesus God resurrected.” (Acts 2:32) Thus the Almighty God and Jesus are clearly two separate persons. Even after his death and resurrection and ascension to heaven, Jesus was still not equal to his Father.

The Holy Spirit is the comforter. The Holy Spirit is described in the Bible, so no there shouldn't be differing views in denominations. Father, Son and Holy Spirit is the Trinity. I think it is the book of Joel the Holy Spirit is described, I will pour my spirit out. Apparently the Holy Spirit is part of the Father and part of the Son.

The Holy Spirit that descended upon Jesus like a dove is the Thought of God. From that point Jesus, reflecting the Light was like the sun to the people he encountered. He was the sun of truth because he perfectly reflected the Holy Spirit as would a pure polished mirror.

The sun was a symbol for a time of the reflection of the Holy Spirit from Adam known as Atum Ra or Zadek, another pure polished mirror. To the extent that we purify ourselves then we reflect our ray of the Holy Spirit as well.

The trinity comes from the tradition of Nimrod and Semiramis. Nimrod is Lucifer, the original satan, or son of Aurora, the dawn. At Nicea in 325 AD the religion of Nimrod was wed to Christianity by force, with the approval of Constantine and it is this awful hybrid that we call Christianity today. Investigate, do your own work. Don't let anyone snooker you.

In mainstream Christianity, the Holy Spirit is one of the three divine persons of the Holy Trinity which make up the single substance of God, the others being God the Father and God the Son (Jesus). The Holy Spirit is different from Jesus in that He does not have a physical manifestation (or incarnation), and that He frequently dwells in and among God's people as a spiritual guide or a Comforter.

Christians believe that the Holy Spirit leads people to faith in Jesus and gives them the ability to lead a Christian life. The Spirit dwells inside every true Christian, each one's body being His temple (1 Corinthians 3:16).

Each denomination can vary greatly on their beliefs of the holy spirit. The trinity is the father (God) the son (Jesus) and the holy spirit. The bible says that in the old testament the holy spirit was given to various people for special cercumstances (like Daniel in the lions den and Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego (sp) in the firey furnace). In the new testament, believers in Christ are given the holy spirit as soon as they accept Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit is always with you and is your comforter, guidance counselor, and moral compass. In addition, the pentacostal movement believe the power of miracles comes from the Holy Spirit being poured out through believing Christians. For example, prophesy and healing. So yes, the Holy Spirit is part of the trinity. It is the part that is personally part of you. Hope this gives you some clarity.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. The "spoken Word of God". So If and when you SINCERELY and FULLY repent of your sins and fully accept the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior into your heart and into your life to live for God through Him, God will send down His Holy Spirit to dwell within you. Then will have been "Born of the Holy Spirit". When you do this you must totally change your life around 180 degrees and live your life for God through hIs Son Jesus Christ. Basically, you have given up your life to live for God. you have become a true child of God. A TRUE Christian will be faithfull in their work and commitment to Him, are obedient to His Commandemnts (all of them) and honor His Holy Days as Jesus did for His Father. And ONLY if you are faithful to the end (the return of Christ) you will receive your glorified spirit being body and your crown that comes with it. Your whole Life revolves around God. God is everything. The Holy Spirit that's now inside you will Guide you, will councel you, and will convict you when it needs to. You will have spiritual discernment to know what is the truth and what is the lie. What is sin and what is not. What is right and what is wrong. You will have "stepped out of the world". You are now a Saint of God and joint heir with Jesus Christ in the Kingdom of God. You must live in this world but you cannot be part of it. You don't want to. You are now on a mission from God. The purpose of that mission is to spread the Gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ. Either through church activities or some type of fellowship program and even on your own by your witness to people of your life and your conversion. You live your life for the LOVE of God. Because you love Him as He loves you and wants to be a Father to you,.................Now about the "trinity". When people talk about the trinity, they're talking about a mysterious "3rd being" besides the Father and His spirit. Jesus was the Spirit of God in the flesh. So there always was ONLY the TWO. That's it, only two, the Father and the Son (Gods Holy Spirit). The "trinity" is a made up word. It is NOT in the Bible. Because there's no such thing. It's SILLY!! Think about it! That was made up ages ago by the corrupt church fathers when they injected all kinds of pagan rituals of worship into the Roman Catholic Church to attract the pagans to come to their church so the could have a huge and powerful church with many members. Wake up people!! The Protestants held on to that silly ritual after they broke away from the Church. So when you use your silly ritual of blessing yourself next time, at least have the respect for God and the decency to bless yourself in the name of the Father and the Son, and that's it.

The Holy Spirit is like the wind though you can hear it, though you can feel it, though you can sense the presence, you can not see it. It's value to us that it will, if allow the Spirit always lead us in truth.

C.S. Lewis viewed him as the spirit of love that exists between God the Father and God the Son. It is the nature of God that this spirit has its own mind and actually is a part of God.

According to the Bible, the Holy Spirit indwells each believer. He acts as the conscience of each believer, gives guidance & insight into understanding God, and he gives moral strength to overcome temptation.

Some denominations also believe that he makes people speak in tongues, and that he causes people to fall down "drunk with the spirit" on the floor, but his is a minority view (Pentecostals/Charismatics).

There is no trinity, the Holy Spirit is Jehovah God's active force or power. That is why it can fill a person, sit upon 120 disciples heads as tongues of fire, and move to and fro upon the surface of the waters, it's the power he uses to perform miracles, and to heal, and to accomplish his will.
