Contact your local animal emergency clinic to find out if sunflower seed are toxic to dogs. I cannot remember if they are or not. They recommend you induce vomiting. It is better safe than sorry.

Don't sweat the sunflower seeds at all unless your dog shows signs of distress. They will pass normally as with all the other junk the average dog eats.

Not at all unless it was too large to go through the dogs system Sunflower seed is one of the most nutritious of foods.Dogs should be feed greenery,mine eat raw and cooked broccoli and other veggies mixed in their food.moisten the food with the juices.I brush My Dogs teeth with special chicken flavoured tooth paste(Pet store) saves a mint on having dogs teeth cleaned.They have to be put to sleep to have teeth cleaning,and live longer with clean teeth ,as germs from dirty teeth effect dogs hearts and our hearts as well!

Im definite dogs eat more unsafe matters than sunflower seeds... She shall be adequate.... My beagle ate chook bones unintentionally and she used to be excellent however i wouldn't feed them to her... Im certain she wont shoot a sunflower out her butt gap but when she does you'll get ALOT of money from the circus or backyard indicates!!!

I would of thought he'd just poo them out.If your worried if theyre poisonous phone your vet,theres usually an emergency number but ive never heard that theyre poisonous.I would think he'l just poo them out.Dogs have amazing constititions.One of my dogs was a right bin rutter & has eaten all sorts of what i might of thought,had he not eaten & been fine,all sorts of dodgy sounding foods,for a dog.Hes had some amazing looking poos off eatting whole bags of cereal,uncooked spaghetti,sacks of dogmeal(he used to eat till he couldnt eat any more if he got something when i was out).Dont worry,but if u r phone the vet.

lol probably not very. I don't think sunflower seeds are on the list of "danger foods" for dogs. But double check!
poor dog's probably going to have to crap out the shells, though...

Not very. It will act as a laxative. Other than that sunflower seed hulls are editable not poison.

I think her butt hole will be sore in a little while, but I don't think YOU have a lot to worry about...make sure she has a lot of water (sunflower seeds are salty) Good luck!

hi its funny you say this a friend of mine had this prob and they gave him an enema and they pulled a ball out of his but the size of a golf ball this is very true its not that bad give him laxatives and he will pass this in about 5 to 7 days

i wouldnt think too screwed. yours isnt the first and wont be the last. look for blood in the dogs doo if u see any call your vet and good luck!
