people say worshiping god is living life to the fullest but worshiping god to them is reading the bible over and over again and spending most of their day in church. i mean live life tot he fullest by doing things you probably will never do in life.... climb a mountain, sky dive, scuba dive, snowboard/skiing, learn music, fly a plane, race a car (safely i mean ofcourse like on a racetrack), ect. do things most people would be too scared to do

Dear Wlliam, What an excellent question! the truth is that God wants both, he wants s to ultimately to live ourlives to the fullest, but he wabnts us to use our lives for him. As christians, we have the gift of eternal life, the message of salvation. The will of the father is for us to take this message unto the world. we should remember our comittment to God, and always be ready to serve him, even when our lives get busy, and even whne we seem to get caught in the Hussle and bussle of society.

I was once very cynical toward God and Jesus, I lived in the BIble belt, but i stopped going to church, grew cynical toward the Bible, and wha it contained. i continued in this skeptical view, unitl Gods Holy spirit spoke to me as I read the BIble one day. The message was galations 1:6-9 ”I am astonished you are so quickly removed from the Gospel you have heard to another, apparently there are some who have confused you and perverted the Gospel of Christ, but if any man preach unto you any other, then let them be eternally Condemned.” This harsh chastening of God, led me to reexamine my own skepticism. I later had yet another encounter with God, this time, he held up his Law (Ten Commandments) as mirror, and The Holy spirit convicted my heart as I came to realize God hates lying and stealing and blasphemy and adultery and idolatry, all of whom I was guilty. I knew the Bible said the Just penalty of my sins was Hell. I fell upon my face and trembled before God, because I understood His holiness, I repented toward God and placed my faith and trust in Jesus, and now I have been forgiven and granted the gift of everlasting life. My sins have been forgiven, and I have a relationship with God.
God Bless
Apostle

God wants us to live life to the fullest and help others to do the same. God wants us to live a life of total Love. He does not need our worship. We worship Him because we see his greatness that is beyond anything we can even imagine. We worship Him, not in fear, but in reverence and Love.

I see that some do not understand what living to the fullest means. It means being all that we were created to be. It is not a selfish, me, me, me, sort of thing. It is living the life of Christ day by day. It is have reverence for all living things and living in harmony with all things and all people. None of us truly live fully, because there is no peace and harmony in the world. We must all work together to bring about the type of life that God wants for all of us.

He doesn't really mind, but would like you to worship/believe/pray. God loves everyone of us equally and un-conditionally. Some people see him as an old man with a beard who lives in distant or heaven or as an angry judge. He is not like that at all. He is more like a gentle and encouraging father or mother. It's really up to you whether you worship and believe in him or not, but he knows us all and created us all. Keep in mind that the Bible and 10 Commandments are several years old. Do you really think God inscribed these and gave them to Moses on Mount Sinai? The Bible is more-so suggestions for good life, and most of the things written in the Old Testament are not actual happenings but stories or 'parables'. And about the first four things on the list, keep in mind that at that time the Jews had started to lose faith in God as he had set them to wander in the desert for forty years. They had even made an idol of a cow or some animal and began to worship that. So that was most likely God reminding them on what is right and to restore their faith in him. I hope I've helped you understand this a bit more?

By worshiping God you live life to the fullest. Jesus says leave your possessions behind and follow Him and you will know a life worth living because you are free of the shackles of what the world wants. Besides you can't take anything from this world with you when you die. You won't need it.

Yes God really wants us to worship Him. Living life to its fullest can be viewed in so many different ways, the drug addict is living their life to the fullest when they are high. The alcoholic is living their life to the fullest when they have a bottle in their hand. The rapist is living their life to the fullest when they have a victim. Living life to the fullest can include the negative as well as the positive. It all depends on who you are and what you do.

I think the only way to live life to the fullest is by worshipping Him. Everything else falls short. He has created us with an empty space that only He can fill. Believe me I have tried just about everything else and worshipping my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is by far the most satisfying. (There is a reason Mic can't get no satisfaction)LOL.

Boinga- He did give us free will. We are not puppets on a string. Sinners are everywhere but with Him we can learn to separate ourselves from our sinful natures.

What makes you think that the two things are mutually incompatible? I worship God, and I live a life that's full of peace and happiness.

I've seen a lot of people who party and sleep around. . .and if that's living life to the fullest, I'll take "Misery" for a thousand, Alex.

Why would God need worship?

God wants us to make the most of our lives and the lives of our fellow men.

Living life to the fullest would be reaching your full potential. I doubt God would be displeased with that.

Would you like your 'car' to brake when you press the Accelarator?
Would you like your 'phone' to dial your boss, when you want to speak to your friend?
Would you like the 'aeroplane' which you are flying to rise even when you want it to land?

If you answer it 'NO', It means that since you are the designer of these machines, you want them to Function EXACTLY the same way you designed it for.

Apply this to the MOST complex of all machines, the human being. So isnt it the RIGHT of 'The Designer' viz. GOD to demand us to WORSHIP HIM EXACTLY as HE wants us to???

Leave aside sex and drugs. The first duty will be to Acknowledge the fact that GOD is ONE, and NOT associate any partners with HIM. The CREATOR is NOT like HIS Creation.

Therefore the first challenge is to understand that GOD cant be compared with any creation. HE is ONLY ONE and in the FORM which ONLY HE knows.

And to climb a mountain. ride a bike etc is NOT forbidden by Almighty GOD, its ONLY people take it the negative when it comes to religion.

Almighty GOD wants us to do Good, and ONLY this can ensure proper survival of mankind.

Thats why ALmighty GOD wants us to submit our will to GOD. This is the key to salvation. Follow the Creator's guidelines.
