How to uninstall a shower door?

I want to re-vamp my bathroom, and un-install the existing shower door to replace it with a rod and Shower Curtain. How would I go about removing this door, and preparing the shower so that I can put the curtain up?

if there is a door tracking on the middle off the side wall of the bath tub look and see if there are holes drilled in to the tub, first they will have to be plugged if the doors tracking system is damaging the tub, this is the most critical part is if the system is perminate or removable, know the difference
