why is the number 13 bad luck.?

People give lots of reasons, but one of the main ones is that 13 represents Judas at the Last Supper, because he was the 13th person at the table and he betrayed Jesus... but there are other reasons, look here:

I am not sure, but something happened a long time ago.. Something that happened on the thirteenth that made it bad luck on a friday/a superstitious number.
