I have bad allergies, dust, grass, and trees, on top of certain drugs, and my allegra only cuts it for the dust. When spring time rolls around I'm a goner.

I start taking quercetin about 2 weeks before my seasonal allerigies kick in, usually about twice a day. Once the allergies start getting to me, I supplement with stinging nettle a couple times a day. I got the names and ideas from Dr. Weil. My allergist approved the regimen. My allergies aren't as bad for the past 4 years, which just so happens to be how long I've been taking the herbs.

If you are already allergic to the ingredients in a herbal medicine, all you'll be doing is making yourself sick. Sick enough to wind up in the hospital or dead...
If you're allergic to grass, trees, flowers etc....most herbal meds are made of these things and they will make you ill.
You cannot CURE allergies...you can take care of the symptoms, but theres NO cure for allergies. As you get older, you might have MORE allergies to MORE things.

See an allergist...they can test you for allergies and help you..

I put apple cider vinegar in my horse's drinking water daily from spring to fall, it takes a while to get into the horses' systems but flies do not like taste of it. I also put 1/2 tsp of garlic powder into every feed. I don't buy it especially for horses, I get it from the regular spice section in a grocery store. Lol, Megan if you also have garlic in YOUR system, you won't smell it on the horse:) Avon Skin So Soft IS a great idea if you don't live in a very warm climate, otherwise, any kind of oil on your horse's coat will make him uncomfortable. Other than that, feed-through-fly-control is a good option, too, as somebody else mentioned and a double dose of Ivermectin de-wormer was recommended by a vet to my friend. I would consider, if available, leaving your horse out only at night when the flies are not so bad and leaving him in a dark cool stable during the day if you're not planning to be riding him every day.

I know that for me, since most of my allergies are related to seasonal stuff (like plants and weeds), any herbal remedy was highly likely to trigger an allergic reaction...

One thing that has been helpful though, is taking 1-2 Tbsp of honey that has been gathered from within 30 miles of where you live. It has something to do with the plants' pollen being processed into the honey-I'm not sure if there have been any studies or scientific evidence, but it's been helpful for me.

In the beginning, my friend just wanna lose weight.
He ate cellular nutrition food which is made of herbal.
After he lost weight, he found his allergy is gone too.
