Faith is the ultimate key in a believer's life. It takes faith to believe in God and what He has done for mankind. This verse points out the importance of faith.

Believing that Jesus Christ exists takes faith, since none of us have had the opportunity to meet him in the flesh. We look back to the cross in faith, and believe that He is who He says He is, that He did what He says He did, that He will do what He says He will do. Without faith, you cannot accept salvation, therefore you cannot please God. An unsaved heart is a heart that is in open rebellion against Him. He is pure Spirit, and we must worship Him in spirit and truth. That is a walk of simple trust and faith. When we seek Him with our whole heart, we will find Him. He will reward those who sincerely desire to know Him. He will not hide Himself from them. He will reveal Himself and His will to them as they seek Him with a humble heart. Every day with Jesus is an exciting adventure beyond measure. It is a pleasure knowing Him in a personal way. He gives strength for the journey from the cradle to the grave. He alone offers hope beyond the grave. Without Him there is no hope!

This life that we live who call ourselves sons and daughters of God should believe that by faith we trust in God in all things, good bad or whatever may come. This is only a small portion of what Christ went through for those of us who call upon his name. I will not judge the others who commit the sin that is done here, by faith i believe God will judge even those who do not call on his name.

You must believe that he exists since you come to him. And he will reward you for coming to him so earnestly. Attacks do not matter.

Feel free to disagree with me, but I have read a lot of questions on this forum, and the only ones who get attacked are the questions that are asking for it - be they questions of belief or non-belief. The kind of questions I am referring to are the kind that stereotype, have a weak rationale, are insulting, or are themselves attacks. There have been many questions asked by both sides of the debate that have recieved thoughtful and respectful answers, and are themselves thoughtful and respectful.
Sure, there are a few wackos that will attack anything, but that's something you gotta deal with- it happens in real life too.
So ask good questions, you'll mostly get good answers. Done deal :)

It is a good verse and in all reality it doesn't bother me when people "attack" my beliefs on this site I am not here for them and I am not here against them. I just choose to ignore it because they don't know me as a person so they can say whatever they want that is their right. I choose not to attack them because I like to think I am more mature than that

The definition of faith is what throws people. The devil believes in God but doesn't have faith in Him. Faith is obeying or following His word.

I don't quite get the connection you are trying to make. That chapter of hebrews discusses the faithful ones not the unbelievers. Could you explain further what you mean?

I think this verse means that sometimes it doesn't look good for us but if we trust God we know he is working things out for our good. AND HE ALWAYS IS, PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME.
