Unfortunately there is a nasty stomach flu going through children now. Not a 24 hour bug either. My 4 year old had it for 4 days. Horrid! I hate to say it, but I doubt he'll be feeling better. I certainly hope so though! It's always so hard taking them away from something they are looking forward to.

My suggestion would be to have him up hours before he's scheduled to go and see how he's feeling. Feed him as you normally would and see how he reacts. I hope for his sake he can go and that he's feeling better soon. Good luck!

Could be a bug, is he running a temp, did he eat something that did not agree with him, take him to the er if his bowel movement has mucus or blood in it or is dark coffee ground texture. If he is feeling better tomorrow it should be ok but call his doctor in the morning and ask him for his advice he might have him come in the office to make sure its not serious and if he gives him a clean bill of health then send him if he feels up to it. Usually hockey games are mid afternoon or nighttime so make the apt for in the morning if his doctor feels he needs to go in.

I know it would be hard for the little one to miss the hockey game but I think in his best interest, I would make him stay home and get plenty of rest and fluids. With a distended abdomen and diarrhea, you really need to have him seen by a Dr. Until then, just give clear liquids. It will help calm his stomach & keep him hydrated. I hope he feels better soon.

If he is feeling much better it could just be a 24 hour virus and he should be ok. Be sure his stomach isn't swollen and have his Uncle take along some extra under wear and wash cloths just in case he has an accident. Good luck and God bless you and your family.

No, he could already be dehydrated and sometimes it's hard to tell . Keep him home and give him Pedialyte.
