Basically, I need to know if there is any home treatment to help the hematoma on my buttocks? Or, if you know what kind of doctor I should go see? I have had it for 4 months now.

4 months is too long- it should have gone away by now. unless you're constantly re-injuring it by sitting on it or something, then i'd suspect it was infected or had become and abcess- it needs to get drained. usually not a big deal, but should be done in you doctor's office. can usually be done with some local anesthetic.

See a dermatologist, who can refer you to a surgeon. Some will do small lump removals in the office, but the doctor will let you know if this is something they're comfortable with. I don't recommend trying to treat it at home; you're likely to make a bloody mess and still have to see a doctor in the end.

(Sorry, couldn't resist the pun...)

A surgeon is the one who can help you. The hematoma isn't getting absorbed & you need it drained. It is a fairly simple procedure & he can probably do it under local anesthesia. Good luck!

A general surgeon can remove or drain it (out-patient) and in the office

Start with your regular doctor. If you've already been to him, I would think maybe a dermatologist might be able to help as well.
