There are more that likely basic bolt-ons for your car, the question you have to ask yourself at this point is if you are willing to take the chance of having to replace the car. With any car of that age, unless it has been rebuilt or is a really low milage car, chances are any "performance upgrades" will cause more damage. That being said, I own a 1987 Acura Integra with a REBUILT motor and nitrous. I suspect that you probably should not make any modification to your car, unless it is 1 not given to you by your parents, and 2 not your only means of transportation. To actually answer your question, the best thing you could do for upgrades to what you have now would be to put in some colder spark plugs and get a zex nitrous kit. If you run it with the smallest jets it is relatively safe, adds a little fun to the car, and is probably the only real modification you can make without putting a different motor in the car.

Before SVT it was SVO (Special Vehicle Operations). I own a 92 Taurus and other than intake and exhaust and maybe a tune anything you do beyond that will cause more damage than good and with those mods you would be lucky to get an extra 20hp which price per Hp is not worth it. It is an A to B car not a hot rod. Go buy a SHO or a sports car if that is what you are looking for.

Not really. There was only one real performance Taurus, the SHO and it uses a completely different engine and drive train than regular Tauruses...or is that Tauri? At any rate, about all you can do is an free flowing air filter and a custom exhaust. I think you might be able to upgrade the braking system with performance rotors and pads, but I don't think you'll find any suspension upgrade available. You ought to be able to upgrade the wheels and tires as well as the stereo.

replace that car with a 96 ford taurus SHO engine. it will fit and it will be a heckuva lot better. Also get a performance air filter like K&N I think it's called. Also get some nitrous oxide too if ya want.

Ford did do a SHO Taurus ...a limited editon suburbia rocketship with Mustang goodies surfaced around that time..if memory serves me right..before SVT was born...my guess would be to see how many Mustang goodies you can utilize...there are bodykits for it ...so you might be in look...Check out Stillen, Saleen, or Roush related websites
