Do you think the goverment is taking proper steps into keeping the virus contained. There has been reports about people getting killed because the virus is able to to go from human to human.

Until it goes human to human, it is not a worry for us. It is a worry for poultry farmers however.
Beleive me, you would know when it goes human to human because a lot of places will be forced to shut by the government. A serious pandemic would stop us from leaving our towns/cities.
But as long as you don't go rubbing your face with bird faeces, you should be fine.
