I don't know if this would help, because I have a son and a daughter and they are sooo different. Boys have minds of their own. But my daughter is 3 now and last year I had to give her horrible tasting medicine. She cried and hated it, finally I just talked to her about it. Basically told her I knew it was yucky, but it was important, and I was sorry that she didn't like it, but when she was done she could have juice and something to get rid of the taste (candy whatever she wanted). Finally she just agreed to get it over with and I would have her cup ready to wash it down. It was better in the end then trying to sneak it in or pin her down. We took away the battle and she took it on her terms, or so she thought. Good luck.

Medicine is important so you might have to be the bad guy for a bit. If you can't get the dropper in his mouth, you might have to lay him on the floor and force it in...then take in a deep breath and BLOW in his face. This will force him to swallow.
Before you do this, I would try reasoning with him. Explain to him that his doctor says he needs this medicine to make his sickness or his 'owie' go away, then he will feel all better. You would be suprised at what he can understand at the tender age of 2. If reasoning doesn't work with him you will have to get tough.
good luck

If its a liquid medicine, call you Dr. and see if it can be mixed with his juice. Or maybe buy a medicine dropper and put in drops in his mouth. I know 2 yr. olds can be a handful when it comes to medicine. Good luck.

Honestly the best way to do it is promise them some kind of reward they'd enjoy for taking the medicine. Don't put it into the food, because if they find out they won't eat it.

Oh, you have one of those too! I would suggest that you give him a little piece of a strong tasting candy first (chocolate would work), give him the medicine, and follow it with another candy "chaser" afterward. It really does kill the taste of the medicine.

My son is the same crush it up into pudding or applesauce! Works every time. Only MAKE SURE the child does not see you doing this or they will not eat it ever again!

Have you tried putting it in his favourite drink? Or possibly in a soup or some other type of liquid he likes?
