It gets past the firewall fine, but after about 15 minutes of being online, Limewire disconnects my connection throughout my whole house. I have to turn the router off and on to get it back again. Any idea why?

Because Limewire takes up so much bandwidth it knockes off anything dealing with the Internet. It doesn't do that for me but when i have it on and anything else. it lags because i have Limewire on. just go to settings and adjust you upload and download speeds.

I would just get rid of Limewire!
Believe me, it rips apart your computer from the inside when you don't notice it.
I am a computer nerd...please get that horrible thing off there.

well for one limewire is spyware and virus proned and sucks
get ares it is open source easy to se

check ur spyware system and make setting adjustments accordingly to your router.
