I thought they already did. dont they provide SHUTTLE service at the tracks ?

Certian technology that has been used in NASCAR is already used in the Government.Some is in use today in Iraqi with the military so yes at some point some small refinement from NASCAR could in theory be used by NASA.

Well the government has been using NASCAR for advertising for years so why not a NASA sponsor so we can recruit more astronauts so the govt can waste more money in space.

I don't know. Maybe in the future they could create the car of the future (COF) and it could fly and be almost as ugly as the COT.
