If you have it installed on your PC now...you can get magic jellybean. That is what we use at work. If you don't have it installed as of yet just give Microsoft a call when it asks you for your key. I've done this before for myself and I did not have any issues. (They provided me with a new one for no cost)

You can un-lose it, find it, or someone can return it to you.
IF none of the above apply, Microsoft will allow you to buy another key from them. For full price.

Note The current owner must be in possession of the product and be able to provide proof of purchase of all products when making requests for replacements through the Supplemental and Replacement parts team. The Supplemental Parts team provides service for the United States (U.S.) and Canada only. Submit all foreign replacement part and service pack issues to the appropriate local subsidiary.
