Alphabet Action is a LearningPlanet.com game that helps children begin recognizing letter names in an entertaining and interactive way. Play it with your child the first few times through. As you click on a letter, it will tell the letter name & show an object beginning with that letter. It does not say the name of the object because we've found children like to be able to name it themselves (and we don't want you to wait forever to load the game!) You can take a few seconds on each letter to reinforce the letter name by saying it yourself and making sure your child can name the object correctly.

It may sound silly, but when my daughters were young, to teach them their ABC's, they would visit while I was bathing and take turns writing the letters on my back after they had lathered it up.
Then I would try to guess the letter. It was a great way for them to learn and I could also relax having them right there where I could watch them. Later advance to words, until they got a little older and thought it was silly. Nowadays when I tell them about it
(they're in the 20's now) they just laugh.

My daughter is 21 months old. and we do flash cards at bath time. I have the bath tub crayons and i try to get her to write the letter on the wall. I normally show her the flash card and then i write and then she tries to write. The only letters she can write are h i and m but she is only 21 months old. She can already say all the letters if you ask her to say the alphabet. We also have the fridge phonics thing.

Well it depends on if you are talking about learning what they are, or how to write them. I'm going to assume that for pre k, she just needs to learn them. If you're willing to spend money, leapfrog has a great collection of toys to learn abc's (and other things as well). Here's a link to their toddler letters and language stuff: http://www.leapfrog.com/Primary/SkillSets/Toddler/ReadingLanguage.jsp?bmUID=1170731365692&bmLocale=en_US
We have the "Fridge Phonics Magnetic Set" for my son (20 months) and he's already starting to repeat the letters and try to sing along to the abc song!
If you don't want to spend the money, try flash cards, and sing it with her when you are doing everyday stuff like brushing teeth, washing hands, serving food, going upstairs...whenever you are going to do something routine, build it into your routine!

A friend of mine bought my daughter a puzzle train w/ all the letters on it, it had pictures of like an animal that started w/ the same letter. She would put together the train all the time. Also, we got her a V smile, they have lots of games that require you to pick the correct letter like Care Bears and Scooby Doo. Mine loves it!!

The alphabet song is always a bonus, it is a nice tune and easy for kids to learn when they start early.
You can also try flash cards or styrafoam mat letters. If the things you use are colorful and bright they are more likely to remember them.
