Sand in swimming trunks/suit/booty?

If you're taking the kids/nephews/nieces/etc. to the beach, what do you do to get sand out of their trunks and booty's after?

I've seen moms actually take their kid by the shower pull from behind their trunks and just clean right their with their hands.

How do others handle this?

How do you help them get it out?

Just take them to the shower take there clothes off and wash them down.
