It takes way to long to download songs.

Are you using limewire pro? Or the freeware version? With the freeware version you are limited in search results, connections, and connection speed. I am a limewire user myself, and often encounter the same problem.
Unfortunately your download speed will be limited by the # of hosts you are able to download from, their ISP, and your own internet connection of course. I recently tried bit torrent and prefer it for downloading music, but thats about it.

Because it's a crappy program.
You shouldn't use LimeWire. BitTorrent is way better for downloading music/movies/whatever, without the viruses (if you choose carefully). I can't say it's any faster, but you can download whole albums at a time. Singingfish is also better if you want to download only one song.

Limewire's probably getting sued, that's why it keeps having problems lately. Try Ares, it's better: http://aresgalaxy.sourceforge.net/

what kind of connection do you have to the internet? That could be one problem. Also, if you are looking for other programs to download music, I use Ares.

hmm idk...ive been having the same problem lately....i usually just start looking somewhere else for the songs like alltheweb.com
