Why do you care how he tries to make it sound. Two people who truly like each other would never want the other person to look anything but happy! You need to let this person out of your life if you can't trust they have your best interest at heart!

Maybe, but maybe you got lucky and found youself a genuine a**hole, if the making it sound like you were after him includes bragging to his friends, you probably did. As a test, tell him he was O.K., but you're really not looking for a boyfriend right now, maybe you'll call him sometime.

Why would he do that unless he is a young teen. Maybe he is just shy, and hasn't much experience with alot of females. I don't think he would make it out as if you were the instigator. Would that be so bad anyways. You will never no unless you try

Yes, its stupid but true. sometimes some guys don't know how to gauge a girls feelings towards them, and do stupid things like giving the impression that the girl was after them to see how the girl reacts...

If a guy does that, he's not that into you. He may like you a little but not enough to tell the world. You don't want somebody like that.

first of all, men are like children, they hate confrontation, but that is what you gotta do. Confront him about it....in front of other people, let it all out. sure he'll turn it back around on you but people will finally see that he is lying
