I have a young child. Would you give that job up to take a job that allowed you two afternoons a week with your child? Benefits will be available at the new job. Current company not family friendly, new company will bend over backwards to accomodate.

I would go back to a full time job in a year or two. What would Moms out there do? I am 35, so this may be my only baby. BUT, but lowering my salary I decrease the chances I'll have another. Any advice, especially from women who have done this would be great.

I like to work, but need more time with my baby!

Totally take the new job. My husband and I work for a family friendly company and would be a loss without it. I went part-time for 2 years after having my kids, and we've both been out so many days already for a sick kid, or daycare day off, etc. The flexibility is a priceless benefit, especially when you work fulltime. I logged on tonight to work after the kids went to bed - but here I am :)

More time with baby would be my priority. You can make it work financially, even if you wanted another one. Trust me, there are so many people and places who can help you out with necessities for children and babies. Everything else is icing on the cake. My philosophy is that a child is happier with their parents around then any monetary/material things. There are so many creative things to do for your kids too.

My husband and I moved across the country so that I would not have to work and could be home with our children when they were young. I would not trade it in for the world. Good luck!

The relief in available housing is via stagnation of the marketplace as for this reason larger expenditures - alongside with a turning out to be form of rich human beings possessing different homes. The decline in the NHS is all the way down to underfunding. The decline in jobs - nicely, you have not have been given a ideal to a job. you are going to be greater powerful than the different guy - the place in the international the different guy comes from is besides the factor. evaluate the occasion of a telecommuting activity - you may hire every physique in the international, so why hire somebody interior reach if somebody else in yet another u . s . will do a greater powerful activity for much less funds? in short, not something you have suggested has any direct correlation with immigration - different than possibly for the well being service, it particularly is in fact being helped via qualified docs coming from foreign places - our unwell practise equipment isn't producing sufficient docs domestically for our national desires.

Making a living for your family is important but your child needs his/her mother I feel a child should be with mom for as long as possible one for safety reasons this day and age, and secondly he/she is only small once and that I wouldn't miss for the world. If someone else is taking care of your child and gets to see all the first time things you will feel horrible I think. I would.

I would love to be able to stay at home two afternoons a week with my son. As it is, it is 5:30 and I'm still at work and will probably be here for at least another 45 minutes..where is this job? LOL

Do you sleep at night in your current situation? If the answer is NO, then you know what you have to do. Children are only small for so long, then they are grown. Money isn't everything! Spend as much time from your gift from god as you possibly can and enjoy that baby and a simple life.
