I never heard it as an Italian word, and I am Italian (I live in Italy); as said could be the Spanish word "Fulana", or "Falanga" as an Italina surname or the Polish word for "phalanx"; otherwise Fulanga is an island (Fiji) http://www.multimap.com/index/FJ2.htm

I was explaining to you this word but something happen and I lost the page so here it goes again.....as I was saying.... that perhaps the word instead of fulanga is supposed to be Fulana which its a reference or it refers to a woman when the name is unknown or just when you dislike this woman and you won't even want to mention her name this also applies to men is Fulano, the same effect. oh by the way is in Mexican and is a street talk but maybe you can find it in the Spanish dictionary.
