Has anyone heard of the lady who came up with this? She seems very smart. I've tried it out on my little niece and nephew and it works. I find this very interesting. Any input on your experiences with this?

Hi, yes I saw her on Oprah and she really is great.
The funny thing is that I've been a Nanny for over ten years and now teach preschool and have a little one of my own..... And I've been called the 'baby whisperer' by many familys. It really does work!! If people would just pay close attention from the start babies really are comunicating with us. Most of us just aren't listening. As she says thou, you have to start responding very early to this pattern or the child learns that his needs will not be met unless he or she tells you in someother way (crying or screaming) what they need. Well I heard about it when my son was over a year old, but I plan to try it on my next one.
