Until a few years ago, Radio Clyde used to play Tina Turner`s `Simply the best` every morning. In fact they must have played it every morning for at least 6 years. Then one morning they didn`t play it, nor the next, nor the next, days turned to weeks, weeks to months, months to years. When did they stop playing it and why?

Was there not a change of Breakfast DJ who would then alter the format to suit their own personality? as I cannot imagine it being for any other reason.
Mind you any Tina Turner after about 1974 should be gathered together and sunk into a concrete lined bunher for the sake of humanity. Especially the one that revived her career cos Heaven 17 by that time were pretentious gits.

I do recall my son that they stopped palying it after Brother Martin`s mob pumped the non believers 6-2 on a rather fine Sunday in August 2000. I can well recall preparing my sermon on the day before listening to Radio Clyde pumpimg out the song. That was the last time I heard it on Radio Clyde. Long may it last.

It's because Ragers fans are scum and can't have the song played at Ibrox without changing the words to reflect their own bigotted personalities.
So as a result, Tina is off the airwaves as well. Not that that's a bad thing, the song's pish. So it maybe should fit in better at Castle Greyskull now.
