okay. So I love to change my hair constantly because well...I can't ever get satisfied. Here recently I have been wandering about dying my hair blonde. I have never bleached or done anything to that extent before, however towards the beginning of December I dyed my hair permantally (for the first time) bright red. I have semi-permantally dyed my hair purple, blue, and pink, but they only lasted about a week. The red was wonderful and came out quite nicely considering my natural light to medium brown hair. It was better than I expected. well...I still have a red tint to my hair but most of it has faded to a dark blonde color and I want to go a whitish blonde color now. I'm nervous and need advice about if this would work out if I went to a professional. I am trying to avoid damaging my hair like bleach or stripping...is this possible? would it turn orange or look nice?
Thanks!

there is no way to get your hair to the desired color without stripping and/or bleaching it. Of course this has to be done by a professional!! I can't begin to explain the terrible colors your hair would be if you tried to do it yourself...and if you came even close to the white-ish blonde-well then it would probably fall out. It's hard to say period what your hair would do once it got the bleach on it, haircolor is a little unpredictable after it's been colored that many times. (and with unprofessional dyes I'm guessing) I would think that it might be ok. I don't think you would be platinum the first time, but I think someone who really knows what they are doing could get you pretty close. I just recently had a co-worker of mine strip the dark color from my hair-and then we had to bleach it twice! only to be a nice yellow color before we toned it. It's pretty close but I'm not quite white yet. But I'm a pro and I even had someone else do it hehe. Just think about it a little...if you think that you may not stick with it long anyway I might just heavy hilight it blonde or something...that's a long process for you to just turn around and color it back in a few weeks. It's also a lot of upkeep if you do decide to keep it, I love it-I'm just letting you know the details : ) just make sure you go to someone good, and get some good products that they recommend after to make sure you keep your hair feeling nice and not damaged

There is no way to avoid bleach. In order to make hair lighter you have to use it. I would definitely go to a professional though or you risk ending up with orange hair. By going to a professional you have a very slim chance that your hair will be damaged. Just be sure to tell them what you have done to your hair in the past so they know what they are working with.

OK sounds like you have been doing a terrific job go to Sally's and get some blue powder bleach and use a volume 30 developer pick up a little tiny tube of blue ask them it keeps it from turning orange you will need to leave this on until it lifts all the way a barbie blonde is the highest lift you can go so keep checking it with a water spray bottle in different areas---if in doubt leave on a few minutes longer good luck hair stylist here good luck!!!!!!!!!

rite first off STOP!
all these chemicals are not good for your hair!!
ok, my advise would be to let all the colour grow out (if your hair is short all the better!) sounds like you dont have the patience for that though! ha ha
if you want to go whitish blonde now u would most likely have to strip the hair of all the colour that is there just now then bleach and tone it! it therefore go to a salon! x

Try John Frieda go blonde spray :) they have it at Target and its like $8 for a spray bottle. I used it once and my hair went like a shade lighter! but you have to remember to use heat after you do it, and do it on damp hair. You can just do it on the part that isn't dyed, but make sure your hair is actually BLONDE instead of light brown (a ton of my friends say their hair is blonde but it's really light brown) otherwise you WILL go ginger!! Hope I helped! Good luck and have fun! And its less stressful on your hair than dying it, its impossible to mess up, and it won't give you that weird, fakey look :)
