Vodka has no taste. The presence of alcohol is all that you "taste" and that is hard to mask.
My personal favorite for masking the alcohol 'bite' is either an energy drink (red bull, monster, etc.) or grapefruit juice...either does quite well because the flavors are both intense so that it is noticed over the alcohol.

My sorority makes this drink called skittles. It is easy too make and does not taste alcoholic. You will need a two litter of Mountain Dew, 1 pack of blue kool aid, and your vodka. You pour out the top part of the 2 litter, down until the top edge of the label, into a cup you can use it to mix more up later. Then you refill the bottle with vodka. This is the tricky part when you add the kool aid it will fizz, it mixes it all together its self. You have to move quick, pour in the kool aid and put the lid back on the bottle. If you are doing this for a party mix it up before hand so that if it fizzes over its not a big deal. It tastes very good and is a hit. We served it as punch sometimes, our color was blue so thats why we used blue kool aid I had it with red before and it also tasted good. The blue makes the drink a much nicer color though.

Sugar Free Red Bull and Sugar Free Lemonade is awesome with Cherry Flavored Vodka...but then again, why would you want to take the taste of vodka away... If you don't like the taste of it, either you are drinking the cheap stuff or you may want to drink something else. If you are just drinking it to get drunk, here is a good site you will more than likely want to visit in the future www.alcoholics-anonymous.org

Good whiskey doesn't have a bad taste. You need to stop drinking the cheap stuff. But if you don't like the taste, drink something else. Vodka, rum, gin, tequila should all do the trick. Better yet, if you want to just get drunk, find yourself some Everclear.

Try flavored vodkas...I like cherry vodka in diet coke with grenadine. Also, try citrus flavored vodka with cranberry juice and fresh lime juice. Try ordering a Top Shelf Cosmopolitan with extra limes. If you stick with more expensive vodkas (Absolut, Skyy, 3 Olives) the taste is more smooth, and won't be as hard to cover up!

Milk is supposed to mask the taste of liquor fairly well.
Some schnapps varieties don't have a liquor taste because they are so sweet. Try a "hairy navel," which vodka + peach schnapps + orange juice.

Vodka is made to be tasteless. Heavily diluting it with just about any beverage will take the alcohol taste away. Acidic beverages work the best.

Don't count on this old chestnut. I was both a bartender and a security officer and you could always tell the boozers. No matter what they take to cover the booze. You excrete alcohol from the pores of the skin and also if you can stop breathing or your blood from circulating..well enough said. You might think you are getting away with it but the drinker will aways give himself or herself away
