Yes, so that you can claim your refund. You probably were issued a W-2 and had federal taxes witheld. If you were paid under the table than that's another issue.

Actually the limit is $5150, but yes, if you can be claimed as a dependent and make more than that, you have to file. If you make less but had anything taken out for federal income taxes, then you should file to get it refunded to you.

Will if you have a city,town, or state job you do have to pay taxes but if your like me and you are your own boss then you dont have to pay taxes
