We bought the Disney Crocs for my two year old son. He will not take them off. I have noticed the name brand Crocs are made of a much softer material than the knock off brands. I would highly recommend them. The other bonus if they spill something all over themselves the shoes wipe clean. I live in Tennessee and they are all the rage at the playground.

I've seen them on lots of kids. We got my son some star-spangled red, white & blue Airwalk ones, and they were the first footwear I could consistently get him to wear. He mostly kept them on okay, but it was easy to get them back on when they came off.
Lately we've had very cold weather, and I've still seen kids running around in Crocs and socs outside. I would NOT recommend that, but I'd recommend the Crocs for indoor use or warm-weather use. And you should be able to get inexpensive ones, so I think it's a really good idea for your plane trip.

First, get the real ones. They have excellent arch support, as confirmed by my son's foot doc (he has very flat feet). Kids do fine with them, and they are easy on and off. My kids all wear them around like slippers, then to the pool, and out and about. Never a problem. Get yourself a pair too! (Note - my husband crushed my sons, and the little piece that holds the strap on broke. The company send an entire pack of replacement pieces quickly and at no charge!)

Crocs are the only shoe that my 2 year old son would wear. He likes them because he can put them on himself. These would be perfect for the plane since they are easy to remove. I would suggest wearing socks with them because the plane can get cold. Oh yeah and don't forget to take some ziplock bags.

Crocs are a great idea, I would just be worried about the support they offer. If it's only for a short time than it should be OK.

They look so cute on toddlers. I didn't get them for my kids last summer because I wasn't sure they would stay on, but I am going to try them when Summer comes again. Get them some and have fun on vacation!!
