Try another doctor.
Ear infections are common in infants, and in toddlers still on a bottle. They should be fed sitting up, since liquids can actually get into the ear canal if a child is fed in a reclining position, or flat on it's back...two bad moves.
Always finish antibiotics. If you don't, whatever is bothering a person (or baby) can get stronger and need stronger medicine to deal with it.
Also, if your child does this while on the antibiotic, he could be having an allergic reaction to the medication.
Try a new doctor, and tell him everything.
Oh, and as for the teeth, ask the doctor if the meds your son has taken (or will take for his earache or vomiting) will affect his permanent teeth.
And when you get a prescription, always read the warnings..If your pharmacy does not give you those, ask your pharmacist for a list of contraindications (contra-indications) . This sheet (if you read long enough or get past the technical info) will list the things that may occur in people taking that medication.
Also, just for general info (so you will at least know what to expect) check out ear infections online.
Sorry you had to go through all this, and that your baby improves soon.
Hope this helps.

Sure signs of an allergic reaction are vomiting and diarrhoea. I'm wondering if he is allergic to his medicine. You mention that he has had 2 ear infections and that each time, he had those symptoms. You also mention that he has been on 2 antibiotics, were these both for the ear infections? Did he get sick after being given the antibiotics? An allergic reaction doesn't necessary occur after the first introduction of the offending substance, it's a cumulative effect (meaning a reaction will occur on the second or third exposure of the allergen). I would definitely not give him any more medicine until he gets tested. Go right away to your doctor and ask to see a paediatric allergist.

If your doctor isn't giving you a satisfying answer it is time to find a new doctor. Is he taking the medication with food? Is he suppose to? Some children are more sickly than others. Is he in daycare? Lots of exposure there... if so, how are they keeping the place clean and how are they protecting kids from contaminating one another. hand sanitizer is always good. If you think it is allergies ask for a skin test. Record what he eats and look for a pattern. Good Luck and don't stress about it, take action and move forward aday at a time.

Your son may be having an allergic reaction to the antibiotics. Vomiting and diarrhea are symptoms of allergic reactions. My son used to get ear infections and we found out he was allergic to many antibiotics. He would get rashes on the back of his neck, vomit or have diarrhea within 24 hours of starting the antibiotic. Ask your doctor to try a different antibiotic next time. Remember to give them a BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce and/or toast) when they have diarrhea. Bless his little heart. Think about how awful you feel when you are vomiting with diarrhea. It really takes it out of you. I'm surprised your doctor hasn't thought of this. I actually decided not to give my son antibiotics for ear infections because of his allergic reactions. I'd just use the ear drops for pain relief and his ear infections lasted about the same amount of time with or without antibiotics. Talk with your doctor or find a new one if you're not happy with your son's care. Don't worry about his teeth turning yellow--they're baby teeth. Just get your son the care he needs. You're a caring mother. Lucky little boy. Good Luck!

Well, bananas you may just have a natural aversion to, and shouldn't eat them anymore if they make you feel poopy. Coke has caffiene which doesn't do so well in some people's system. Avoid it. Energy drinks have countless additives that will spike your energy for sure, but often send your stomach on a joy ride too if you are a sensitive person. Just avoid these foods, plain and simple.

I know you have brought him to a doctor, but he might have an allergy. My neice has food allergies- she can't have nother that contains milk in it and I know this kid on my block, he can't have nothing with eggs in it. But it would be the best thing to get him tested to see if he might have a food allergy of somekind. Good luck, and once you figure out which one maybe it will get better.

The ear infection are probably not form a food allergy but the vomiting and diarrhea could be. Although, if the gastric symptoms are coming only with the ear infection it could be cased by he ear infection itself. If you do not feel satisfied with your docs answers or treatments seek a second opinion. Good Luck!
