This has been a 25 yr. question. Whenever I go out with friends and eat I order beer because my husband is driving home. Why do I have an easy bowel movement?? One person said I was relaxed? I've been relaxed lots of times in 25 years with no movement without assistance. I am not bulimic or anorexic

What I am trying to find out is-is the beer the catalyst for a movement.

I have a lot of beer-drinking friends and they swear by it's natural laxative capacities. I have been known to drink a few beers myself from time-to-time and have always been a lot more regular with the beer. There has to be something in beer that is good for the body, because many of the people I know who drink beer are the healthiest, strongest and fittest people I have ever seen, & I have known these people for a long, long time. I am 50 and all of them are older than I am. They are in far better shape than other people I know who do not consume beer. They have perfect blood pressure, their bad cholesterol counts are low, have boundless energy and can put in a longer day's work than most. They consume massive amounts of beer every day. Most of them are men, but some are women, also. Go figure.

lol I have the same sensation. Sometimes I think it is my body's way of hurrying it along before I dry out myself by drinking! lol
