How long is American Cheese good for after being left out on the counter. I'm not sure how long it was left out for but it was at least an hour or so.

Processed cheese is designed to last a long time. It will usually dry up and curl at the edges before going bad.

it will change color(light yellow like new to a more yellow plastic like) and become brittle when it's no good to use. it's more then likely fine.
