I asked casually because I hadn't hear din a bout a week from him, and he said he emails me all the time, so I must not have gotten them. Anyways he said in the end of the message, Why, did you meet someone? Does this mean he did?

Not necessarily. But I would wonder why he didn't pick up the phone and communicate with you if you were not together. Answering a question with a question is not as straightforward as I like, but talk about it before you jump to a conclusion.

It does sound as though he is concerned about the fact that you brought it up. Its entirely possible that he did meet someone and is now worried since you asked.
