ive got a 2005 f-150 with the stock 6 CD changer in it. i want to keep my 6 CD changer but i want to hook up an amp and a system in my truck. the normal 6 cd changer doesnot have inputs for an amp and i was wondering wut i can get for this to make it work and where i can find it and a reasonable price for it.

Yup...You need a Line-Out Converter (LOC), and both Best Buy AND Circuit City should have it, or call up Crutchfield.com, and ask them about this product:

First two are correct, not sure the above knows he's describing a "Line Level Converter" or "Line Out Converter" as well.

go to any car stereo shop not best but or circuit city and tell them what you want to do. i did my buddy's 2005 tacoma and he kept the factory headunit i used a little box called a projoy it was simple we spliced into the speaker wire and then hooked the amp up and connected the rca's the only hard part that i had was a remote turn on wire. you could try the12volt.com for a wiring diagram.

you need a line out converter. you can get one for about $30 at your local best buy
