By asking her to get help your just upseting her. Im anorexic and people tell me all the time that there concerned and that im skinny enough and I hate to hear cause its the truth. Your friend is not going to seek help because anorexia is all in the mind? Talking to her parents is the best thing or provide her with some information about the disorder that might scare her a little to want to get help. There is a documentry on HBO about some girls in a treatment program, maybe search for it and watch it together. I actually had a hard time watching it. Good Luck sweetie! Hope this helps

Tell an adult, whether it be her parents or a guidance counselor. As a friend that is the most and the best thing you can do. You do not have to tell her you did it and keep it confidential, but these are the people that can make sure that she gets some help for herself. With diseases like anorexia, the person is never ever the person to seek help unless it is too late...even then, it doesn't guarantee that the person will ever fully recover from this disease. The sooner she gets help, the better.

Talk to her, if that doesn't work then you NEED to talk to her parents. You may loose her as a friend for a little bit but she will come to realize that you were a true friend by telling someone so that she could get help. It is also important to know that her parents may not believe you at first (maybe not at all) keep trying!!! I do not know how old you are but if all else fails or you do not feel comfortable telling her parents then tell a counselor.

Dont talk about her weight... it is the last thing to do, because she will think you are judging her. Dont forget that there is always another problem behind anorexia desease. Be there for her, talk with her, dont let her alone, especially at meals time. Tell her you are there for her. Talk with her and try to let her tell you she has a problem. Call for a specialist, I'm sure there is special call line for this in your region...

don't try and push her to get help it could just make things work. just talk to her about it maybe tell her parents and let them know they need to talk to her daughter. have them get her help if anything you pushing her could just ruin your friendship
