If your Christian, then im sure you believe Jesus said to not hate other religions, but respect them. This is what Islam teaches. So how can you be a good person a hate other peoples beliefs, because the media has brainwashed you?

Because the world doesn't understand the hypocrisy of their opinions. If the Hijackers on 9/11 had been Christian, and done the deed in the name of Christianity, do you think Christians would be turning against themselves?? No. Of course not. And yet, their are sects of Christians that are capable of doing such things within their own beleifs. Just as in the Islam world, these sects are not recognized by the larger group. But people pretend not to understand this because their emotions and their bitterness cloud their judgement. What you've got to understand is that the Islam world would look negatively on the Christian world as a whole if the roles were reversed (moreso than they already do..). But with time wounds heal and people are able to see the logic of a situation through the clouds of their emotions. Just give it time.

I feel it is because the average person does not see the "average" Muslim comdemning these nutjobs. The average Muslim citizen has a duty to report on those that are intending harm or plotting terror operations. There is not this sense of outrage. Those in the KKK have to be protected by police because they claim to be Christian but speak so hatefully that it outrages the average person, regardless of their religion, that they would be harmed if there were no police intervention. I wish there were riots in the streets whenever suicide bombers kill civilians for just going about their lives. I wish the citizens that know of suicide operations and those guiding these operations don't hunt down these leaders and lynch them. Instead, they are protected because they are Muslim, regardless of their crimes.

Islam is a very peaceful religion when it's practiced truthfully. But I'm not pleased with other aspects of it. For instance, Islam believes that Jews are rats and pigs and monkeys, and that the Torah is just a corruption of the Qur'an, even though the Torah came first...it's an elitist theology, and if it was any other religion that held it, I wouldn't be pleased with them either. But I am not against Islam because of this. Some of my closest friends are Muslim. We just usually try and avoid religious debates! :-)

Because many people, some claiming to be christian warriors, are so ignorant and full of hate that they replace common sense with a irrational grasp of insulting dogma. Racism plays a part as well, since many Muslims have darker skin. These Christian Warriors worship a god that hates and punishes all those who disagrees with them. Their grasp on reality is slim, and they are miserable. And they love to share their misery.

Because the world is scared to death. It happened in WW2. The Japanese sneak attacked us at Pear Harbor. So what did we do in America? We imprisoned all the Japanese Americans. Was that fair? of course not. But when people get scared, they forget about what's fair. (Only movies show that people are fair during a battle or during a War.)

I don't think the whole world has been turned against Islam. I think that generally the vast majority of the world "thinks". ...and therefore understands that the Islamic extremists are few in number, but vocal in quality.

Unfortunately, the more vocal the group (even if only a small number), the more attention they garner and therefore they appear to represent their entire people...when, in fact, they don't.

I have read the Quran and it's simply BEAUTIFUL and DIVINE! truly magnifecent! the world hasn't been against Islam or Muslims, I respect Islam and Good Muslims. It's astonishing how the convert rate for Islam in America has sky rocketed after the 9/11 attack! it's very puzzling.

Sunni is killing Shiite,
Sunni gased Kurds and killed them
Hezbollah sends katusa rockets into Isreal and then complains when they get mad.
Then there is Hamas and Fatah.
The Islamic forces in samolia. who are killing the Africans.
There is not a place on the planet that isn't being under fire from the muslims. They seem to hate everyone and feel it is their duty to take everyones stuff. Like in Africa they take land and herds. It is giving them a very bad reputation.

Islam took on a bad name because of a few extremists who used it to justify their actions. Christians would be wise to keep their extremists in check or they may find themselves in the same boat.

Christians will try to act all holier than thou and claim that the Koran is violent, that is because they have apparently never read their own holy texts. The Old Testament is down right repulsive.
