I don't know if the suck but I would lean towards one of the more established camera makers such as pentax, olyumpus, etc...
Polaroid never really excelled in the camera biz except when they came out with their "instant" camera wayyyy back.

I'm not exactly a professional photographer, but I have a Polaroid digital camera and I HATE it.

They're ok... if you live in the 80's. The Polaroid film is expensive, digital is cheaper in the long run, and you can get them printed up at wallmart.

They are ok, but for your money, stick with olympus, kodak, or canon. I have an olympus SLR 8.2 meg. It's good but it has screw in type lenses. Canon and nikon uses the bayonet type allowing quick lense changes. All of them are quite cheap now...so go get one. You'd probably throw away your film camera once you'd learned how to maximize the power of the digital.
Enjoy! Send us some pictures.
