I hear it all the time, but i don't know what it means

1. It's prounounced, Ix-Nay, but that's an easy mistake.
2. It's piglatin for "nix", a word meaning "forget it" or "drop it" or "not now".

I think you are referring to ixnay, which means like end, or stop. It's pretty much synonmous with "nix" It's really just Pig Latin and became widely used after appearing multiple times on the Three Stooges. Ex. Ixnay on the yelling

ix-nay, is pig-latin(remember that?) for "nix" which means, no, and is usually said when someone says something that shouldn't be said, it's like, "shut up!"

i know it hassomething to do with piglatin. i dont know what it would mean tho because pig latin into english would e either Nx or nax?!
