Probably as a junior in highschool would be okay, but only dating. I wouldn't get too very serious and if you have sex please use protection. You don't want to end up having children at this early time in your life.
Set some goals in life and don't think you have to be hooked up and married to someone until you are well established in a job with a good education.
All to often young people marry right out of high school and start having problems and arent' equipped to deal with the pressures of marriage.

the instant you step foot in the door you have a relationship with every gender opposite in that school.
go to slow wait to long and the tag reads gay.
go to fast don't wait long enough and the tag will say player.
the list goes on.
it was just before the stone age when i was in school but i am sure it doesn't matter. a boy should do everything he can to met talk to get to know and date the second his foot hits the school grounds.
a girl should do the same.
you don't have to go having sex with them all but i tell you this if you sit on the side lines and watch them walk by . when your done school 10 20 30 years later you will be sorry you didn't date that one and you never talked to the other one.
live now kid we really do only get one ticket for this ride.

kids are not all the same. it completely depends on you and when you think you can handle it. i know kids who got in relationships in middleschool and then i know kids who have still never had a kiss senior year. do what is right for you(which is not always what the parents think is right by the way. )

hahahaha nice way to put it. depends on how far you wanna get. whenever really. to tell you the truth you shoulda started in middle school to get you ready. but thts not always your desicion
