Nope, in fact NOWHERE in the Bible is a place of eternal torment mentioned.

Again, you have to specify what you mean by the Bible. There is the New Testament...which Christians consider part of the Bible and Jews do not.

In the "Old" Testament, there is no discussion of who goes to Hell for eternity, and so no, no one is described as going to Hell for eternity for any reason.

Jews do believe in levels of Heaven, and as such, a concept equivalent to hell - but we also believe in the ability to repent. We also have a concept of being responsible for one's own future and deeds and so one person would not be condemned to hell in order that someone else be rewarded.

Have you ever wondered what happens next, after this life?

Some say you just keep coming back in different bodies, maybe even as an animal or plant or rock. Others say you just stop existing, you just disappear, or you get absorbed into some cosmic consciousness. But the Bible says there is a real heaven and a real hell, and you’ll go to one place or the other for all eternity.

"Greater love hath no man than this: That he lay down his life for his friends." In truth that is all any of us can do, whatever we might wish. Many who are placed at rest in Arlington and other national cemeteries have done this.

But you see that quote does not spell out the greatest love -- just the limits of human love in this existence. Many men have risk it beginning with Adam - who, not being deceived, went along with Eve knowing full well the consequences.

But thank God there was a second Adam who went to hell for the love of His deceived sheep who were in bondage -- but hell could not hold Him.

God knows what He is doing. You would perhaps lose one to save one. God however would save both, knowing your love however strong is but a shadow of His.

And I ask you this. Is it easier for you or me to die that someone else might live or live our span of a few decades for the same purpose. Scripture says that the person who doesn't care for his own is worse than an infidel.

It is human nature to want to be part of the big show. It is God's show; and that is why there is no one in the Bible, save Jesus, who comes close to your question.

Only in a (horror) movie I watched years ago; this one guy made a deal with the devil to go to Hell in place of his loved ones. It was a pretty good movie, wish I could remember the name of it.

It's not biblical, in your bible your God sends people to hell for not worshiping him and there's nothing anyone can do about it. This is one of the big problems I have with Christianity and I cannot seem to get them to understand that for me to be separated from my kin for all eternity like that would be hell.

Both Moses and Paul expressed the willingness to undergo this on behalf of their fellow Jews (Exodus 32:30-35 and Romans 9:1-5); however God's verdict was that it would be according to His decision, not that of Moses or Paul.

No. Going to heaven is a personal decision.

No. There is no prisoner-swap in the Bible. You do your own time. Where you spend eternity is up to you.

Paul even mentioned that he would love to do that, but realized it was impossible. "... for I could wish that I myself were condemned and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my relatives according to the flesh." (Romans 9:3)

I don't think you can make a deal to go to Heaven

I am sorry you have a broken heart. How do I know? I am an old man now, but once, when I was young, I felt the same way. I asked the same question. (Well, similar question.)
