i care about him a lot and it's gonna kill me to hurt him. How do i do it in the least paiful way for either of us?

well, the guy im with now, we've been apart for three day and that's the only time. i broke up with him. it was painful. for both of us. if your still in school, wait until the end of the day. that way he won't deal with it during school. what i said was that i felt like we should see other people. i know it's like, really old but it's not AS painful. tell him that you think that your heart has moved on and that it wouldn't be right if you didn't like him as you did before and that you thought ya'll should still be godd, close friends. my byfriend was mean to me at first, but got over it and apoligized. i forgave him.we eventually(three days later) got back together and everything is different between us now. but then again, if you care abot him soooo much and don't want to see him hurt, maybe he's supposed to be in your heart and you in his. im still in school but i've been through a lot.

Just remember, if you dont like him anymore then dont force yourself to stay with him. It would be like lying to him.
The best way is in person..even though its the toughest..but you kno he deserves all your respect so its something you hav to do. Tell him what you have been feeling lately(be completely honest!)and explain in a way that isnt too hurtful but he gets the point.

If you care about him, why are you breaking up?
Try to be gentle. Tell him that you don't believe you guys could work out, and you want to see him happy, even if it means with someone else.
