I am new at this gym and I saw this girl working out by herself, and I was just like " hi, I'm ( insert name here ) I am new to this gym and sometimes I think it is better to work out with a partner, so you have someone that can push you ya know?" She was like yeah I am the sameway.

Then I said ok well if you want to workout with someone or need a spotter or something just let me know....and I left it on her to kind of make the next move.

Was that the right thing to do or should I have kept talking to her since she agreed with me on the whole not liking to workout alone thing??

I don't know man. It is obvious what you were after. I think you should have been as honest with her as possible and asked her out without the "wait and see" game. Now it looks like you are trying to manipulate her into a date.

Yeah you should have kept talking. She had to have liked you to agree with you on that 'cause you were basically offering up your self as the workout partner.
She knew and gave you permission and you just walked away...
If she doesn't approach you then you should definitely go over next time and ask if she needs help or something...
Good luck.

You shoulda continued the conversation. She may be too shy to come to you. I know i wouldnt go up to a guy for a spotter even if i knew i would kill myself. lol
The next time you see her, ask her if she will spot you or be your push partner. Dont rely on her to take the lead now. You dont know if she is forward enough to do it.
Good luck to you....and btw....it was a good way to introduce yourself. Good job.

I think that was probably the right thing to do. You could ask her to spot for you sometime, to let her know that you meant what you said and weren't just making conversation, but if you get the feeling that she was just being polite when she agreed and didn't really mean it, then back off. Girls don't like it when guys they don't know get pushy.

You did the right thing... she will let you know if she wants anything to do with you. She may be a kung fu expert or something and beat the crud out of you if would have come on too strong. LOL

Interesting opening line. Let her decide if she wants to pursue a gym or personal relationship. If she doesn't ask you one way or the other, take the hint, she was just being polite.

hmmm... i would have kept talking. She probably doesnt want to make the next move since u started it. She might not have known if u were really serious about working out, or wanted to pick her up. So if u c her again i would go talk to her.
Hope this helps! :)

nice job slim. Not to forward not to passive. At least now shell acknowledge you when she sees you and she knows your kind of digging her. Smile! When you get to know her a little better try a line like "wow a never knew anyone who could make sweat look so good". You know something like that.

I got an idea. Next time you see her alone doing something, and she's on her last reps and struggling to get them up, just run over there and spot her for the last few. They convo will take off from there.

Either way I think is fine. Talk to her when you see her, you'll be able to tell if she's interested or not. You already gave an offer I say let her be the one to take you up on it, you don't want to push it.
