I already have a satellite receiver, a DVD player, a VHS player and a stereo connected to the television. I know all about lumens and bulb life and screen size and all of the basics. I just bought a projector and a large 80" screen. All I want are some step-by-step instructions to know which cable connects to which unit so that I can end up watching TV on my large screen or on the wall.

Depending on the type of connection your projector requires, you're gonna have to either buy an adapter or buy the actual cable(s) that you need. Some projectors use BNC cables. If this is your cases you would either need to buy an adapter that would connect from RCA cable (DVD/VHS player, etc) to a BNC cable (your projector). Or buy cables that have a MALE RCA at one end and a FEMALE BNC at the other end. However, most newer projectors are made to meet regular consurmer needs, and therefore have an RCA connection. And if this is the case all you need to do is connect the Yellow cable from your DVD/VHS to the "Video In" on your projector. Another commonly used connection for projectors are VGA connections.

What ever the connection your projector requires, use the above same principal: you need a MALE RCA at one and a BLANK (whatever you projector requires) at the other end. If you have more that one connection such as a DVD player, VHS player, Game System that you want to hook up all at once to your projector, try getting a 4 channel modulator. If you need more channels the're some that could take up to 10 channels.

Once you get that done (the cabling part) all you do is connect your Antena/Cable/Satelite to your VHS player or your modulator, which most likely you will need.

Then on your modulator, if your... let's say your DVD player is channel 2. You select channel 2 on your modulator. Or if you feel like not watching a DVD, you prefer to watch TV from your Satelite instead, and your satelite is channel 4. You select channel 4.

It may sound complicated at first but trust me take care one thing at a time and it'll all make sence. I hope this works!

You need to have a cable Box to change your channel, the projector doesnt work for changing channel.

You just buy a cable box, connect to the projector, change the channels on the box and that is it.

I have the same thing on my house.
