I have my cell phone in my locker and my friend got in their to check the time and turned on the sound by accident.

I'm a bit old school in regard to cell phones. As far as I'm concerned they should be treated in the same way we treat handguns.
1. You would have to have a really good reason to own one (e.g. be a surgeon on call);
2. You would need a license to have one;
3. You would not be able to wave them around in public.
We don't need them in schools.

There are usually other ways to get help in case of an emergency. There are rules at school that should help if that ever happens. The front office at your school should have a phone that students can use. But yeah, students should be able to have cell phones at school.

no i don't think it is necessary to have cell phones at school because if it was an emergency then you could most likely use your school office's phone.

No because the majority of students use them to cheat on tests or chat with friends. In an emergency, your parents can call the office and find you by your schedule.

No. i've got taught college labs, and the scholars are consistently texting one yet another and attempting to reply to telephone calls. it extremely is distracting and disrespectful on your instructor. Plus, i can't proctor a try with out catching somebody cheating employing their cellular telephone. that could particularly get you kicked out of school. wreck the habit early earlier you may actual go through effects.
