I have 2 parakeets that had like 10 babies already, but now they lay eggs and they arent hatching. Is it the seaon or something?? their diet is the same and nothing has changed. Plus the girl parakeet never leaves the nest and is ALWAYS on some eggs. Sometimes they even throw them out. any ideas??

like a chicken layes eggs that never hatch, your parakeets arent mating, there is no make fertilization, have a male and a female in the cage during there peak mating season and ur eggs will become fertile and will hatch

every bird does that. i have chickens and terkeys they lay eggs but they will never hatch. so dont worry. if shes sitting on the eggs but they dont hatch that means shes getting brewdy which isnt that good maybe ask a vet.

Suggestion 1: Take away the nest box. It should help stop the need to breed.
Suggestion 2: Take mommy bird to a vet to make sure she's not too vitamin depleted from laying so many clutches.

Female birds will still lay eggs even if not fertile. Just like chickens.

The eggs are not fertile, so something must be wrong with your parakeets.

most birds do this.
they feel like they are on a mission from god to have more babies.
don't worry about it. just take out the eggs and toss them out.

well maybe they arent fertile any more, or if they resently had babies, they might just want a rest period, which is always a good idea
