I am 15 and my parents only allows boys 2 come see me I can't see them. I understand they don't want things to lead to another but in my case I kinda feel that I am growing up and as a little girl they taught me about sex and now that im old enough to make my own descions I feel I should make the choice on that and weather I can visit him or not...I feel that they can only instill in me how 2 be safe with what I do... I hate that because they are so traditional! What do you think?

You are too young to have sex. You are too young to have sex because you are too young to be a mother. I don't think you have to be married first, but I do think that you need to realize that sex has consequences. You can become pregnant even without actual penetration and even with condoms and birth control, and you can get all kinds of diseases, from the deadly to the just disgusting. If you feel horny, masturbate. And if you still think you are "old enough to make my own decisions" about sex, then your parents are right to keep you home.

I think I like your parents!! At 15, yes, you are growing up. But when you are 19, you will look back at being 15 and remember how not grown up you were. Let your parents be parents until you are ready to lead your life on your own, whether that's 18 or 23. And be thankful every day that you have parents who care enough to set limits and rules for you.

I think it shows your age is 15. Your parents sound very wise. You should do as they say. The belief that you are old enough to make wise choices tells me you are not ready to make wise choices. You don't want to wind up pregnant, and I am sure your parents don't want that either. It would make your life exceedingly difficult. Follow your parents rules. They have your best interests and safety in mind. When you are mature enough to realize you don't have all the answers and don't know it all, you will be able to make more decisions on your own.

Well I think they're trying to teach you that sex can ruin your life. If you already know about how everything in your life will suck once you have sex then they will let you hang out with guys. If anything act like you dont care any more then at age 16 they'll let you go out more, hell im 15 and my b-day is in 3 months and my parents wont let me do aynthing with guys until Im 16. I talked to them and told them with all honesty about how I feel about guys and sex and all that jazz and they told me that its my life, I can ruin it or I can make it the best it can be...after the age of 16.....gurr

I think that if you do as they ask, they will be more open to trusting you later on.
You'd be surprised what some 15-year-old kids are doing; or maybe you wouldn't.
You will learn and develop a huge amount in the next few years; no need to rush.

If you are not old enough to vote, buy liquor, get a loan for a house, then you are too young to have sex....
