You're not setting your standards too high; lots of guys are in your situation. It works like this: All the desirable girls have guys asking them out, so they don't have to approach a guy. It's usually the less-attractive girls who have to take the initiative to ask a guy out. The girls you don't like like are trying to talk to you because no boys are talking to them.

I think that it is really sad to say you are setting your standards too high. If you are a good person, you deserve the very best. There will always be people who like you and others who dont. I stay, keep your eyes on what you deserve, and eventually youll get what you deserve.

You're probably much more at ease around people you don't care about too much. And then nervous around people you'd like to impress. Try to relax around women you care about. Count to ten and think, this is just a person, no reason to get uptight. I'm every bit as good as this person. Try not to think beyond the moment with "what if..."
Good luck.

If your not tall and have alot of hair, then your setting your standards to high, if you are then go for the ones you like they will fall for you don't worry, just do it. If your short, then just lower your standards and take the ones that like you. You won't be sorry.

I guess it's because you look at the girls you don't like in a condescending manner, and you think you're better than them, so everything they do appears to have the purpose of getting your attention. For the girls you do like, you think you're inferior, and so you don't think you're good enough for them.
