Its not illegal, but be prepared to be checked from time to time by police, only because you might look suspicious, and in case you did not know, in Texas the police have something on the books to be able to legally check you and its called, "The suspicious Person's Act", and they can check you out using this act. Also ex felons cannot possess any type of bulletproof vests.

You mean bullet-resistant. There are bullets that will go through a vest no matter what it is made of.

No, but it would be great for crime. I saw this bank robbery with these cats rocking those vests. they killed a whole lotta cops.
