I am leaving for combat in a week. So it can't really be long, since I have to leave.. But we knew each other for months.. she just broke up with her BF, and I was helping her get back on her feet by paying her car payment. She took waaayy too much time off work trying to mend the relationship. Hence, the low cheque and needed help.

sorry Eric but it sounds like money is the only thing that is holding your relatioship with this woman together. The last of your worries while you are in Iraq will be her car payments I am sure,at least it should be. Start thinking about yourself first.
